Transport for London’s “Spring into Summer” free guided walks, celebrating national walking month. (Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd May 2016)
There are 45 free guided walks across the Capital which are organized by “Walk London” and TfL, which explore London’s hidden gems, parks, famous landmarks and canals. There is something to suit all ages and abilities. Many of the walks are family friendly with Animal I-Spy in the City, a gentle stroll searching for dragons, lions and unicorns and Goodnight Mister Tom, inspired by the much loved book, particularly popular with children.
The walks have been running since 2007 and their popularity has grown significantly since. To cope with the large increase in demand, there is a new online booking system for “Spring into Summer” walks. It is a quick and simple process to book a free place on the walk London website. Their website is also full of information regarding times, routes, distances.
National Parks (Located across the UK)
There are 15 national parks in the UK, but the number of places to visit and things to do within them is limitless. The 15 parks are located all over the UK so there is something for all ages and abilities and can make a fantastic adventure for all the family over the May bank holiday weekend!
